What would happen if we had to confine ourselves to the mountain? The fourth edition of the Andorra L'Andart International Biennial revolves around this premise: the event that fuses art and nature through the works of artists from all over the world. The activity, which will be held between July 1 and September 15, 2021, is free and accessible to all types of public.
This year, all the works are concentrated in the wonderful surroundings of Lake Engolasters and distributed in three different areas: the Lake area, the FEDA area (where indoor facilities are located) and the Pardines area. In total, 6 kilometers of route where visitors can enjoy an authentic art gallery while contemplating the beauty of the landscape.
The Andorra L'Andart 2021 has the participation of 65 artists of more than 20 nationalities, who have presented 49 original proposals with the pandemic as the central theme. Users can check the location of each of the artistic installations through a map offered by the official website, as well as expand the information on the works using QR codes.
The biennial's leitmotif invites visitors to reflect on the feeling of fear and uncertainty generated as a result of Covid-19, as well as the importance of nature as a source of health and well-being. Some of the themes that have inspired the works are isolation, loneliness, nature, illness and urban ecosystems as opposed to natural ones.
